Pensacola, the 'City of Five Flags', is a spreading city in the Escambia County area of Florida (FL), situated on the Pensacola Bay's scenic northern bank. Founded in the 1560s, Pensacola was originally a Spanish colonial outpost and today Pensacola is known for its untouched white-sandy beach areas, sparkling gulf waters and wonderful sunsets. Pensacola's historic downtown area is full of sightseeing opportunities and tourist attractions, and much of this district has recently been renovated.
